God Deserves Better

I'm new to this so please bear with me. With this blog I hope to be able to share some of my ramblings with whoever who cares to visit. Was in church this morning and while I enjoyed the time of meditation somehow my mind was led to this question.. Why is it that when it comes to dealing with God we hardly put in any effort to give him our very best? By that I don't mean dressing up in expensive suits... outward appearances etc.. I mean something deeper.. our actions, conduct and words. State of mind? How is it we claim to serve a living God when the sacrifices we bring before him seem more like half baked, unpolished, last minute, expired, cheap. 'chow ta' stuff? Funny huh? Can we do better? We love him? Weird kind of love... we have for him, especially so when he choose to hang on the cross for us.
