It's raining again.. sigh.. My dogs must be pretty depress with these rainy days. Every evening they await my return to let them out of their backyard. They would run around and finally sit next to me, listening to me talk about how my day went and what the future holds.. The rain that falls almost every evening lately has effectively put a stop to our time together. They come out of their kennels when I open the gate and let raindrops fall on their heads... They are indeed my best friends. Their attitude kind of put me to shame, while I detest going into the wet muddy backyard, they do not mind leaving their nice dry kennels to stand in the rain just to greet me home. Guess I'll wait till it is less wet before letting them jump on me.
Today was productive considering the bad traffic conditions, managed to do a bit of work. On the way from Subang Airport to KL, was stopped by some cops and some young ciku with a handphone to his ear talking away opened the door of the vehicle and well, proceeded to floor the accelerator without explaining what he wanted to do.. how could he when he was talking all the time into his talipon bimbit? .. purpose? In search of black, noxious smoke. Well they are on to the wrong people, how could a brand new vehicle emit what they were looking for? They told us to drive on after that.. PDRM and Jabatan Alam Sekitar were manning the block. Why bother? Just further down on the federal highway, you get loads and loads of heavy vehicles spewing out jet black smoke. Why don't our authorities just go after them? I mean chase them down and give them a ticket or better still detain the vehicle for further examination. The punishment must be fast and effective! No point putting on a show... makes us cynical and tired of the whole exercise in futility. It all boils down to whether there is a WILL to do what they are appointed to do. BTW, did you notice the mark increase in road blocks, some without any signboards prior to the Hari Raya? It is simply baffling and sad to hear all the snide remarks and accusations by the man on the street with regards to the sudden show of law enforcement. It is back to Malaysia Boleh? Bila? The new PM seems to be proceeding in the right direction, let's hope that he is the one to change what's wrong about our country.. how fast he moves does not matter, as long as he is moving.... how slow pun sampai juga! We have the responsibility to chip in too.. for a start, no more settle di sini, ask for the ticket when you have commited a offence. Now, how many of us are willing?
