What a major landslide, thank God no one was hurt. As usual the word that came out from our minister seems surreal.. come on give me a break. How come everytime something happens, we have to listen to crap coming from the top? We really need a major overhaul in our system. Can we appoint more competent people to these positions? PM, PM, boleh tak you appoint those who can really work? Not just talk?
There is something very wrong in our system if we had to refer every little issue to our PM, imagine this, even when there was disatisfaction over expanding a cemetery, the people who should be able to speak inteligently and give a good reply couldn't do so, they instead refered to the fact that this move had the approval of the PM. Aiyoh! The habit of passing the buck have to stop if we are to move forward. Decisions taken must be thought out properly and be back up by facts, logical ones, otherwise tax payers will draw their own conclusions and rightfully too. Mana integrity and intelligence?
If the PM have to make surprise visits to get the gears moving then we might as well sack all the department heads, what are they doing? A friend of mine went to the immigration department right after the PM's visit recently and was dealt with rudely and unprofessionally by an officer, this is right after the PM's visit, that very same morning. As usual and as expected, he did not see it worthwhile for him to lodge a complain since he can't be sure that he would not be victimized later... as much as I disagree with this move, I could identify with his predicament. However, I think we must learn to express our anger over the shoddy treatment we receive from the very people whom we pay to serve and help us. I mean it is their job, we are not asking for anything more. At the rate we are going, it is going to be a long night for our new PM... As for us, we are used to the long queues, that is simply a way of life for us.
BTW, I was in Suria KLCC and I noticed that the 'auto' taps and flushes in toilets are being replaced with the cheaper mechanical ones.. a case of bad maintenance program? Truly 1st class building tapi 3rd world maintenance... PM mahu visit itu toilet dekat ground floor?
