Today..

today.. is my birthday, both for the chinese calender and the gregorian one. hmm... a special day?

how i spent my day..

putting the soiled clothes into the washing machine.
packing up, cleaning the house ahead of CNY.
bringing my dad out to mid-valley, we went early, entering the parking space at 10:30am, even then it was pretty congested. we walk around and well, just spend time browsing through the stuff at Ace Hardware.. bought some energy saving bulbs, bungee cords, pvc hose and a set of spanners, all man's toys. Dad just wanted to walk around with nothing particular to buy, so we went to pet's world and look at the fishes, dogs, cat and birds... after a few hours, we went to carrefour and there dad wanted to buy the mini tangerines, he says that mum likes these but it wasn't available, he ended buying some vegetables and of course goober's peanut butter, it came with a free jar of jam, marmalade or strawberry. Dad picked strawberry. lepas that we drove to Raju's off Jalan Gasing for lunch, had banana leaf rice with dad, me eating with my fingers while dad used the fork and spoon, the food definitely taste better with my nimble fingers. was quite expensive but i guess it is ok for today. sent dad back and was back home at 2:30pm, used my karcher high pressure jet to wash the porch... so my birthday is pretty average, but I did enjoy my time with dad. he is 78 now and he won't be around forever, I won't be around forever too so I think it wise to spend meaningful time with my friends, family and whoever game for good company. No point dwelling on the petty things in life, better to accept and move on.

my wish on this birthday..

God will bring my family closer together... physically and emotionally.
I would learn to be more like Jesus..
