Thought came to me today. God is watching.. yes, all the things that's happening in this world. The many evils done in his name, those who blaspheme him through their words and actions. God is indeed watching, He sees us as we really are, our inner life, thoughts, motive and what's in our hearts, we can fool everyone but we are totally transparent to him. The past two days of bombardment of 'sad news', both in the local scene and abroad has affected me deeply, the many acts of crime and evil, the abuse, decapitation, murder, rape, killing, every act that indicates the presence of evil, hatred, anger and the sad state of the world at large. Through all these incidents that indicates how low we have gone, the depths of darkness in which we have journeyed... it is scary how deep and dark we can sink... and I really wonder when or rather have we hit the bottom? Or are we to expect worse?
We who count ourselves as those who have seen and experienced the light of God, whom the Lord died the violent and horrible death on the cross at calvary, it is time we focus on how we are advancing his kingdom here on earth. We live our comfortable middle class lives without ever engaging the world around us, we offer no answers and solutions, our testimony in shambles, we have drifted far.. It is wake up time, I sense a need for all to go on our knees and seek after God. We have sinned, I have sinned..
"When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
2 Chronicles 7:13-15
May the God of my salvation watch over us, our families, our country, our people, our world. May we find forgiveness and favour in his eyes.
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
Jude1:24&25
