Heard Or Seen the Birds lately?

Had a lovely time today out in my garden. It was a hot day but there was a gentle and consistent breeze blowing. I have lot's of Red Palm in the garden and they are pretty big and tall. Though the roots are a major headache for me, they do provide a resting place for the birds in my area. Took my binoculars and was able to spot quite a few different species, I don't know their names but just seeing how they go about their activities brought cheer to me. One particular species was black in colour, the type of black that actually has a sheen of green to it, with red eyes, they were busy picking fruit off the palm. Another looks like a partridge and has a nice tune while the common burung pipit were making a lot of sounds as they flew back and forth with twigs and grass for their nest. Moments such as these brings a deep sense of relief to me. I am reminded of how God will take good care of us....

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:25-34

The entire chapter is worth reading through. Most of the time we are just too immersed in our quest for the better life to take time to be alone and listen to what God wants to say to us. I do not mean the words we hear from preachers, pastors, leaders, friends or family but I mean just being alone with God and letting him speak and rejuvenate our tired minds. Amidst the mess around us, there is a place where it is peaceful and quiet, no one can bring you there, you gotta to get there on your own. Friends, spare sometime to visit this place...
