Another Post...

6:59am
23rd April 2005

A cool morning as I sit here at the corridor. Daisy is having her breakfast even as I write. Mum and eldest sis came over last Wednesday to spend a few days with us. It is nice to have them over, I get to spend more time with them… something I don’t really get to do on my trips to KL. I appreciate this blessing from God. We’ll be sending them back tomorrow. Time really flies.

Daisy the puppy is getting on fine, she’s been here for a week and she has certainly grown. Tending to a puppy is a lot of work but it is also very fulfilling. Takes patience and consistency, sums up how life is at the farm, a lot of work I do here will only yield results in future and there’s practically no such thing as a ‘instant’ results or success to be had. The weather is unusually hot the last few days so I did not do much outdoors, just as well, it allowed me more time indoors.

Furry has left us almost two weeks and I still feel the lost. Walking around the pond, the land is never the same without her. To some it may be strange, a 39 year old man reacting like that to a dog. It really doesn’t matter to me anymore, how people think of me, what they think of me, the time I spent here since leaving the ‘wonderful’ life at big city has opened my eyes and minds, sort of a self discovery thing. Furry has been one very happy part of my life here. She is my best friend. Just thinking of her departure brings tears while thinking of her antics brings happy thoughts and smiles.

Brought Daisy out today for her first ‘exposure’ to the vast space of the land. She had a great time running up and down the road. All the other dogs had to be kept in the kennels; exception to the rule was Mac as he is the gentle giant. The sight of the little one running around exploring brought joy. We’ll be sending mum and sis down to KL tomorrow and would be taking the opportunity to do some shopping before making the journey back here. Next week would be a busy week for me, the prophet is planning on moving here on Friday while we’ll have some friends over for the weekend. Take care all & God bless.
