Raining inside and outside

Raining cats and dogs here. Came back from the city on friday evening.
Was down on thursday, sent mum and eldest sis back and I must say I
enjoyed their company.
Kind of a break of sorts for me with them around, sis saw to it that the
food for the dogs are prepared, lunch and dinner is also taken care of.
Anyway, I had to bring Ranger our gentle rottweiler for some test as his
abdomen seems to be getting larger, bloated with liquid inside. Funny
thing is he is behaving as if nothing is wrong. Anyway, after one night
stay at the vet and numerous tests, nothing is conclusive. Sigh! What is
wrong? The vet prescribe some diuretic pill and told me to wait for some
other consultant's opinion. So there is no treatment yet as they
couldn't find what was wrong.
I feel horrible at the thought of losing prematurely another one of my
dogs who by now is regarded as part of my family here in this remote
place. This is one possibility which I dread and did contribute to a low
feeling on my birthday 20th Jan. We drove back in the truck as the
carrier was too big for Ranger and he had to endure the heavy rain
throughout the journey home. I must add he never had any complains
whatsoever, almost home we drop by the supermarket to pick up some
groceries. My wife went to pick what she needed while I kept Ranger
company, only then did he whine a bit. Brought tears to me looking at
him all wet from the journey that took almost 1 hour 45 mins. I pray God
have mercy on his creation, at least on those that know not how to sin
and go against his will.
Back home, spent most of my time tending to my companions, with the wet
days and nights, they all seem pretty miserable. Well, this post doesn't
sound so Up huh? Guess I am only human. I try my very best to be up and
positive all the time but certain days, I just can't help but let my
emotions take me for the low cruise.
Leaving for the city again tomorrow to attend to some business and to
check on Ranger's test results. Take care all and enjoy what you have
today for tomorrow you may find what you hold dear is no longer there.
The world needs a saviour, do you need one?
