Another update

We had very strong winds last night. A super storm looks certain to hit us but at the very last moment the winds changed direction and all we had was a cool and windy night. I had a good time sitting outside watching Gordon and Ginger playing outside without the pesky Olive disturbing Gordon. Olive has this funny desire to snatch anything that is in Gordon's mouth. Needless to say Gordon enjoyed the fetching game without his daughter around.
The day was filled with work, mostly in cleaning, maintaining of the land. In the midst of cutting grass, one cobra had her head sliced off. I guess it is the same one that spitted venom into Cookie's eyes last weekend. The poor terrier was rendered blind for two days with badly swollen eyes. Did a lot of flushing with water and applied Terramycin on her eyes. She is ok now except for one eye which looks a bit cloudy. Such is the peril of a land with lots of undergrowth, something which would be a thing of the past as we clear and replace the weeds with trees and other beneficial plants. The initial 5 year goal/plan to complete most of what is in my head looks certain to fail and I would have to extend it by another 5 or maybe 10 years. Guess I would have lots of work ahead for me... then again, what's the hurry?
