A Happy New Year?

All sorts of wishes came through my phone last night. SMS was consistent and going by the many wishes, it would next to impossible not to have a happy year. Sigh.. I'm not trying to be cynical but most of these messages were identical, authored by one and replicated over and over again. I have often volunteered that happiness is a state of mind, in fact it is our choice. To be happy or not. Sadly most of us let the waves toss us up and done never fully comprehending what God meant by abundant life. We live as the world lives, good times bad times whatever. Never advancing in our Christian calling, never partaking in the fellowship of Christ's suffering, associating all forms of tribulations as from the devil. No desire to seek understanding and maturity in Christ. Sigh.. I could go on and on but it would ruin your 'Happy New Year' so I shall stop here and leave you alone with your 'happy new year'
I would wish you that this year, you shall discard what holds you back and run the race set our for you and not be found wanting when Christ returns.
