Brought all 9 of my little ones to the city yesterday for their first vaccination and to have their microchip inserted. It was a 90min drive and we make it in good shape though some of them got car sick and threw out. One noisy fellow was the privilege one getting to ride in the front seat with the cool air vent in front of his face.
We had lots of call responding to the advertisements placed in the newspapers. What an experience! It is really tiring to deal with some 'dog lovers'. Or course talking to people who really loves dogs took the stress away from the experience of dealing with these 'dog lovers'. For all the time and efforts in caring for the puppies and mother, it is tough to listen to so much of rubbish. Sorry for using the dirty word but it is the only nice word I can use. Seriously, we love our dogs and we only want deserving homes to have them as we are certain that our dogs will bring some measure of joy to their family. It is so painful to part with our dogs, what more when we aren't sure if they would be care for and loved? I am reconsidering my efforts to breed GR for the time being. Or course I will not abandon this love of mine, just needed more time to find better ways to get good homes for my dogs. I struggle with the fact that many does not understand that the cost of buying a purebred is negligible when compared to the cost of maintaining one. If one isn't willing to pay to buy one then would they be willing to embrace the actual sacrifices in owning one? What say you?
So far, 2 males and one female have found homes. All those not selected will get to come home to be care for with nice, freshly cooked lamb and rice, bananas, papayas, home baked bread, a big space to roam in, a big pond to swim in and a home to belong to till I find a good home for them. Heh! My mind is just too tired mentally to think and write more. Take care and God Bless!
