Ginger wants to do swimming and roaming the whole day outside, she has mastered the skill of going in reverse whenever the command to come inside is given. Somehow some of Olive's traits are beginning to show in Ginger. The mornings are kind of peaceful for me as all the Goldens are busy searching for durians, eating whatever leftovers the squirrels left. Ranger and Kimi would have the first serving as they are out the whole night so once they are in their kennels, the Goldens would have a field day, eating, playing and taking turns to dip in the pond.
The trees are producing more than we can eat and yet too little to be transported out to sell. On the occasions of trips to the city, the extras would be given away to some durian fans.
The chicks are doing fine, two batches two weeks apart, we intend to bring in new chicks every fortnight. Our last batch of processed birds completely sold out last week and this does not reflect good planning on our part. Guess there are just too many distractions this year. Anyway, we are making amends or at least trying to. Apologies to our faithful customers, the promises of consistent supply eludes us for now. A classic case of which comes first, chicken or egg? Anyway, cheers to all as we trudge along this lonely path which is neither straight or wide. May the good Lord see it fit to grant us relief when we most need it. That would be the perfect day...
