Saturday Morning at the Farm

Work up early this morning and the cool, fresh air and sunshine brought a certain measure of peace to me. The last couple of day/weeks had been filled with activities and all sorts of crazy events.
Over Christmas, I was stricken with some weird viral infection which brought exceptionally high fever, rashes and joint pain. After the fever subsided, the rashes appear and then all my joint were aching till I can't even clench my fish to give someone a punch! Apparently I am not alone with this condition, when I ask around, everyone seems to be able to describe the symptoms without me having to describe them. After almost 2 months the joints are still sore and numb. On recommendation from my rubber tapper, I went to buy some Chinese herbal concoction and after just two dose, I must say the effects are obvious, the pain has subsided and swelling at the joints down and finally I am able to deliver the knock-out punch if I am presented with the chance!
Back to my morning, Oh! I am refraining from commenting on the political state of our circus country. I hope to see integrity, righteous, upright, honest, sane, logical and objective leaders and sadly zilch! So I will instead tell you about my wonderful morning.
Started by playing fetch with all the dogs, must say they were super eager and after many, many runs I was exhausted from the throwing. The dogs never had enough so I brought them down to the pond and they got their morning swims. Overall a nice refreshing change for me and the dogs too. Will not be doing the routine grass cutting today and will try to gety some rest and time in the house.. after all it is sabbath day. All will be done in good time.
I am learning to live a day at a time, purposefully and I trust that it would be good enough for the Lord. In His time, He will make things beautiful... if we stop fretting, butting in and let Him have His ways.
Take care all and may the good Lord lead us all into more trials and tribulations to refine and hone us till we are acceptable living sacrifices, without blemish fit for His service and pleasure.

Hi Edmund,

Glad to hear that you're recovering from the "flu".

Just thought of popping by your blog after bathing "Happy" Sage. Am so glad to have her in our lives! She brings us much joy - albeit the jumping on people habit needs to be cured.

She's a beautiful girl. Will look into taking her back to Raub for a swim in your pond when our schedules align.

God bless and take care!
