Father forgive me,..

Father forgive me for I have sinned...
I have no beautiful words to tell you except the intense need to repent before you..
I have failed in so many areas of my life but this one area which I am particularly sad and which drives me to a point of desperation is the fact I choose the world and it's temporary pleasures over that of your eternal kingdom
I heard and responded to your calling long time ago and yet now I am but a burnt out lamp with no oil in it
I asked for your forgiveness and for your love to envelop me
Restore unto me the joy of my salvation
Restore unto me the desire for holiness
Bring me back to your fold
Allow me to enter your presence once again
I need you now more than ever
I'm lost without you
I repent, forgive me...

If you, O LORD , kept a record of sins,
O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness;
therefore you are feared.

I wait for the LORD , my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
