The Wedge That Divides Us

A education that does not teach our students to analyze and to question intelligently
A education system that does not accommodate different views and perceptions
A government that implements policies according to racial lines
A opposition that fights along racial lines
The many leaders that uses communal issues to garner support to climb up
Stereotyping of Chinese as rich and hence controls the economy and require no help
Stereotyping of Malay as lazy and slow and hence needs the most aid
Stereotyping of Indian as untrustworthy
The greedy rich chinese who can't see beyond the riches that they have accumulated
The greedy rich malay who can't see beyond the easy aid given to them
The greedy rich indian who can't see the needs of their fellow brothers
All the three above who continue to perpetuate divisive and narrow views and pass it on to their children
The pathetic poor chinese who continues to think that the most important thing in their entire lives is to have a big car, big house, fat bank accounts and that they are helpless to bring about change in the country
The malay who continues to believe that the threat comes from the chinese when the threat is from those out of the country
The indian who thinks that they have a raw deal and that it is fate
All three who can't see that they are all brothers in this land and that all three have different strengths that complements one another
The leader who continues to play the racial card
The followers who continues to support the above, they are blind and deaf to reality and mute with no response..
The chinese who refuse to fight for a better deal for their malay and indian brothers
The malay who refuse to speak out for their indian and chinese brothers
The indian who does the same
The leaders who bellows "Malaysia Boleh!" when all along we knew that we indeed boleh but they were the ones who pull a fast one on us to strive for the meaningless and nonsensical

When all is over, we will realise how we are all the same, made in God's perfect image. Unite we must, we must stand up for one another irregardless of our colours, for if the sun should choose not to shine, we would have no idea who is darker or lighter.
