Listen, No Matter How Unpleasant..

We should listen to others no matter unpleasant it is. All of us are fallible so it is wise to actively seek people who would tell us about the things they don't like about us and the things that we do. It is very easy for those around us to pay compliments but quite another thing to speak the truth to us. Often, our responses will determine if we continue to hear truth and improve or we stopped having truth in our lives but live in a world that only others can do wrong.

Leaders must choose to listen more and subject their decision making and policies to more scrutiny. They must not fear criticism, positive or negative, they must be able to articulate their position without having to hide behind laws and written statutes.

I call upon everyone, including myself to listen more and speak less.
