She was moody as usual.. I had to tell her, "Bassey, just one more week"
One more week and you would get to run freely and not restricted to a small compound. Bassey is my female Labrador, she is intelligent and demanding. Always showing me her sad, forlorn look. Not that she is alone, she has Reno and Kimi to accompany her but she seems more interested in sitting next to human beings.
Reno the male Labrador is the perfect example of inner peace, he does not have a sad side to him, always excited and happy while Kimi the Beagle is the little tyrant, she gets what she demands for, she is the master tactician, able to invoke sympathy from you by just dropping to the ground, belly up and looking at you with the poor thing look. Well, all three would be moving with us to our new home away from KL soon.
We are finally leaving KL for a quieter place, less people and less traffic. Hopefully there we would find more time to be aware of ourselves, the life we live and the God we profess to know. We would have to adjust our lifestyle and live in a simple way. I guess the biggest change is living among a 100% malay community for the first time in our lives. A whole lot of people have expressed shock at our choice of living in a malay kampung but I guess it is no use talking about the sad state of racial polarization in this country but not willing to take active steps to discover and integrate. I really do not know how it will turn out but since we have such a short time on earth, I am willing to give it one shot. I thank God for a supportive wife who is a pillar of courage and strength, she is strongly independent and does not exhibit the usual fear and paranoia reactions I see in many. We both choose to place ourselves in God's perfect will, that He will not lead us to where He can't sustain us. He will not abandon us but will help us along, each step of the way.
There are no phone lines going in to where our new home and certainly no broadband. We are in the midst of working this out but it remains to be seen how this will turn out so my blogs would be scarce though I will continue to check my mail whenever I am back in town or in a place with access. Those who are reading this, I seek your help in remembering me and my wife in your petitions and prayers before God, please intercede on our behalf that God will grant us strength... and mercy. Thank you...
