A Bright Day Ahead!

First thing first! Prices of petrol is up again. Hurray! Now prices of everything else will go up, we’ll get less for our ringgit. And all of us have to work harder to make ends meet. Well, one thing remains unchanged, the rich, those in high places are unaffected, and oh yes! The very poor are also unaffected since they never could afford anything apart from the basic stuff. It is really sad but it is also affecting me, cost of fuel, cost of food stuff, cost of this and that, thank God my quality of life is one up despite the higher cost of living. The other thing is that the rural folks are worse off as compared to the city folks. Here every cent counts… I wish I have the answers but I don’t, I won’t pretend that I have the answers, I hope some of you guys out there had spent time thinking and formulating a Christian perspective on proper governance, macro and micro economics and how this world ought to work. I can’t take the typical pray and trust God line. It is simply too lazy lah! Hardly any faith operating here. It is my conviction that Christians must effect change and have practical, working solutions for the world, I mean what if the entire nation repents and turn to God? Then the chance of this happening is pretty remote as Christians all over are contented with talking the walk, succumbing to the trappings of the good life. The call to repent, the wave of revival is nowhere to be seen as our hearts are cold, surprisingly most could convince themselves that they are doing fine and that God is blessing them with abundance, this is the abundant living that God has promised us. Sadly, the lives that we are living are abundant only in form, as with our profession of Christ as Lord of our lives. We are a long way off from home… God bring conviction to us that we may repent and be restored to the right path. May we then be motivated to search and seek the answers that many sought.

Went down to the pond yesterday and carried the beagle into the water and WOW! Kimi swam, yes! My beagle could swim, not to be out done the male Labrador proceeded to go down to the waters on his own to show off his ability by swimming to the other side of the shore, this he did repeatedly for a few times. I carried the female lab but she refuse to move from where she stood, guess she doesn’t like the water. Mac kept his distance so I wasn’t able to bring him into the water.

Church today is the same! I mean the same! No comments… I really am troubled by this malaise that is afflicting the church today. I am bringing this before the Lord and till He speaks, I shall keep quiet. Good night!
