Pearls before Pigs!

Was listening to some music a while ago, went through a few cds, vocalist like Michael Ruff, a band I like ‘toto’ and finish up with Pat Metheny. The music they produce is nothing short of inspiring. I mean it is like they were all in one mind about where they were heading. I was being lifted up to a higher plane as I listen to these artists playing and singing. It is so sad when I compare these to the crappy stuff that people offer to God as worship. Well, won’t go into that tonight, that would be the subject for another day, maybe not as I may offend too many people. The one person I want to thank for introducing me to good music is a certain Professor Bakar, during the short time of fellowship we share together, he has been a real blessing. The effort, passion he has for the music ministry was tireless and yet somehow most people fail to comprehend what he was doing and was pre-occupied with other irrelevant stuff. To a certain extent, it was like casting pearls to the swine. The Prof was one precious pearl sent to us and well, the pigs were too busy to notice and treasure the gift sent from up above. I don’t mean to put people down but seriously, where do you go and get people who are committed enough to practice and practice to perfection, write articles week in and out, fork out time and money in pursuit of improving the music in church? The music in the local church I attend is really horrible, polka all the way, one key all the time and one tempo for all songs… a manifestation of united ‘ONE VOICE’ on earth praising the all forgiving God?

Brother, tonight or rather this morning I want to thank you for the work you have done. It is a pity that we have to part company and are separated miles apart but I do pray that you will not be discourage by your experiences with us and will continue to put in your best wherever you are now. I would also like to take this time to ask for forgiveness if I had in anyway caused you distress by my words and actions. You had been a blessing and encouragement to me and it is only in times of reflection such as these that I begin to see how piggy I was not to recognize the pearl that God brought into my life. God bless you and your family tonight! Got to go to bed. Good night to all!
