Kimi Kimi Kimi

Took Kimi to the vet first thing in the morning. Kimi cornered a black cobra last night and refuse to budge, heard her incessant barks, the kind that she exhibits whenever she finds some wildlife. I ran out and grab my ‘parang’ but she went too close and the snake sprayed her venom and some went into Kimi’s eyes. I killed the snake and washed Kimi’s eyes with plenty of water but some of the poison was in. Got me panicking as her eyeballs were nowhere to be found, she was suffering pain and all I could do was to use water to clean her eyes. Anyway, I am glad she is alive and well albeit suffering the effects of the poison. After a jab of antivenom from the vet and some eye ointment she is recovering, eyes are less swollen now compared to last night. The dogs seem to require more attention lately, medicine to be applied for Mac the Dogue de Bordeaux had a nick in his scrotum that developed into a gaping hole so we had to apply iodine and insecticide to prevent infestation by larvae of any sort. Other than these minor annoyances all is well. As a general precaution the entire perimeter of the house is now laced with sulphur to deter any snakes from setting up their home here.

Would not be writing coming week as I would be out of town for a week. Hope to be back fresh and ready to take on the challenges of the coming months. Emphasis for coming months is to be holy as God is holy.
