Sabah lah, satu hari kelak kita akan berjaya.

Chinese New Year is right round the corner and I am looking forward to being around family again. Times spent with families are precious and we do not have much time left, in fact we don’t even know if today is indeed the last day of our miserable existence in this world. This CNY reunion dinner will be held here at the farm, dad, mum and sis has agreed to come over a few days before CNY and spend time here, I am looking forward to their company. We do have so little time for each other lately…

Come to think of it we are living on borrowed time. Let me digress, though we profess to know God and are ‘born again’, I am incline to think that we are also ‘dead again’. Pardon my sarcasm but looking at the way we live our lives, the reckless, callous way we go about our lives I doubt many of us are living the abundant life as promised by God for those who follow him. Our definition of abundant living, of being blessed, victorious living, if shown to the cloud of witnesses mentioned in the Bible would be equivalent to showing them an episode of the Marx Brothers. Comedians we are with a very serious group of spectators. I pray not for us but for me that I may quit being a comedian and be a Christian worthy of the calling to which I have received. I endeavor to run the race, to fight a good fight, fall I must but may God see it fit to lift me up, that He will grant me the zeal to finish the walk up the hill. I am tired and often I have more questions than answers but I pray for God’s perfect peace to guard my heart. That I may trust God in spite of all the trials confronting me and not trust because I don’t have a choice due to the problems My fellow comrades, let’s walk on and put our hope and trust in God. God bless you with a good and meaningful Chinese New Year, that God has kept us safe for another year.
