7 Months of Grace & Providence

We moved away from the city on the 22nd of June 2004. I remembered how dramatic it was for my wife and I on that day. We had the movers with their three lorries loading all our stuff packed earlier. The loading took a shorter time compared to the unloading when the movers got here. If I could recall clearly, the movers were from KTS Movers with Steven a nice Indian chap leading the rest. Our first night was really unsettling with all the sealed cartons all over the place plus sleeping in a totally new environment, I remembered praying for God to keep us safe when we sleep as both of us had never stayed at such a lonely and quiet place before. Well, it’s been 7 months now and God is gracious and has kept us safe and provided for us. He is good to us. Most times we take much for granted and failed to be thankful for all things good that has come our way, we spend more time being ungrateful, complaining, discontented when we should be giving thanks for receiving so much of which we do not deserve and have no rights to.

Last Sunday we had Matthew Foo and His family visiting us on a day trip. We had good fellowship together and meals together. Thank God for visitors, they help break the monotony of tending to the land. So far we have had many visitors, first to visit was my eldest bro and family from montreal, they were here when all our stuff were pretty much in the cartons. 2nd bro, eldest sis, mum, dad, nephews, nieces, 2nd and 3rd sis… all have brought much cheer and joy to me. I thank God for all. Friends too took the trouble to visit us. I wish we could accommodate more people but the sad reality is we are humans and sometimes we are dead tired and exhausted after playing host to our visitors. Anyway, we will do our best in the future. CNY is a week away and this year’s reunion dinner is here, mum, dad and sis will come and spend a few nights here and we’ll have our eve dinner here, 1st day of CNY we’ll leave for KL to spend time with the rest of our family members. We’ll be spending one night in KL before coming back on the 2nd day of CNY. May God continue to bless us with precious moments with the people we love and care about. Good night and God Bless!
