Hari Jadi ku.

On this day way back in 66' I entered this world. Yep! It is my birthday today... our family wasn't well to do and we never make a big fuss over birthdays. No elaborate parties and presents. Mum would give me a treat, that's about it. Today, mum gave me a red packet and wished me Happy Birthday. My sisters too remembered, my nephew called last night to wish me and of course my wife sang me the tune though I was half asleep then. I never thought much of birthdays and don't think I ever will. To me it is just another day and if my mind and attitude is right, everyday is a birthday, every sunrise, every sunset may be the last so I might as well live each day the way I want to and do the things I want to. Scary but with each year, the list of stuff I want to do is growing while time is running out. I wish for more time but I guess each and every day I am alive is a testament of God's grace to me. Something I do not deserve but somehow God allow me to go on inspite of my recklessness and contempt for him. So this day I have one important wish.. that I will be given more time with my family members, we can have more meals together, more fellowship, laughter, joy and YES! less misunderstandings and petty fights. Peace to all mankind is impossible so I wish peace among family and friends and the love of God to permeate throughout. May God bless you today but before that since it is my birthday I ask that God Bless me first!
