Moving on

Two days of rest got me thinking about the various issues confronting me. The things that I want, the kind of life I want to live, the person that I am and the type of person I want to be. One problem though, time is not on my side. It seems that time waits for no man and there is absolutely nothing that we can do about it. Got up at 3:49am and couldn’t sleep so I went out to the hall and rested on the couch instead, the silence and the cool morning breeze is just refreshing, I opened the door to the wrap-round porch and next thing you know it started to rain…after so many days of scorching sun, mother nature saw it fit to bring some relief to the plants and us. My meditation this morning as I did some weeding, ‘We can’t do anything to change the past but we should make a conscious effort to shape our future’. We are prone to live our lives being tied down by the many incidents, the things we could have done, missed opportunities, regrets… you name it.. I say it is wise for us to remember the good past and toss the garbage, baggage, whatever you call it and start thinking and planning for the future. Nothing comes to those who choose to bury their talent in the ground. Let’s forget the past and press on to finish the race set for us. Trails and tribulation is intended to shape and form us, refine us to be more like Jesus.
