Choices...

choices, choices.. we are confronted with choices everyday. from the most mundane, trivial, simple to the more complex difficult ones. however, i think many of us are just being led or rather 'forced' along the way, in retrospect we don't really have much of a choice. we are sort of like dummies, being condition by the world around us, much of our choices or decisions are premade subconsciously, slave to how others perceive us or rather how we think they will perceive us. our individuality ceases to exist and we are reduced to yet another carbon copy of the modern human being with the hollow self that seeks to fill itself up with all sorts of pursuit that does not add up as one called to light up the world. we spend much of our conscious time toiling for the 'better' life which will never exist, greed fills our hearts yet we deny its' existence. the lust for power over others and adoration of those around us lurks hidden in our inner most depths. our lives reduced to a nil, inept to free ourselves, we are in chains, imprisoned, bound and lost. alas we remain in darkness.

with our lips we proclaim our allegience but our hearts cold.
