God is good!

Spent our morning meddling with the Prophet's water pump, the coil apparently got fried due to the heavy rain yesterday which resulted in flooding at the pump house. His water pump runs on a three phase supply and water must have short circuited it. Anyway, he would be leaving for a 3D2N break tomorrow so I'll bring his pump down to town on Monday for repairs. We had a nice dinner together a while aga, the four of us. Wife made some really nice soup and dishes. It is nice to have home cook food. With the work on the barn, we had very little time and energy left to prepare food so lately the P and I normally would head out to some restaurant to grab quick dinners. I am trying to clear the compound of the heavy undergrowth that has develop from the wet season. I don't mind the green colour but with such high vegetation, snakes may decide to make their home here and I certainly don't wish for my dogs to accidentally step on them and get bitten. Anyway, I am doing my best and reaping the fruits of my labor, a leaner me. So when you come visit, you don't just get lean chickens, you get a lean farmer as well. He! He! We'll be having visitors the next two weekends and I am looking forward to good company again. God is good!
