Latest

Thanks for checking in on my blog, I must apologize for not updating it as often as I would wish to. We had visitors over the last two weekends and it has been tiring. The normal routine of tending to the chickens has to be maintained while spending time with the wonderful people who took the trouble to come to our humble home, to spend time with us and our dogs. Our dogs especially enjoyed the extra attention and love showered on them. We did the usual stuff, eating, drinking tea, fishing, chit chat amongst others. We managed to have a barbecue session on Christmas.
The chickens are progressing well despite of the unpredictable weather of extreme cold, wet, hot and dry. Some birds are succumbing to it and dying while most are alright, God willing we will not lose more. It is a learning experience for me and I hope we can at least break even for this first batch of birds. Please do remember us in your prayers that God will have favor on us and extend to us his grace and mercy.
The prophet’s pump is giving us problems lately, he went down to town this morning to pick it up and once back we tried installing it but it wasn’t working. It is a minor annoyance as the water at the chicken area is been supplied through this pump. Guess we have to accept this thorn for the time being.
