Panas Returns...

The hot days are back, with that the clear night sky with countless stars returns and the splendor of the heavens greets us every time we look up. I think we have seen the last of the heavy storms for now, it’ll be warm during the day till May/June. Such is the cycle here. I look forward to the many new task ahead of us, the irrigation system, the repair of the fence line, construction of greenhouses and also of new barns to house the specially selected birds which will contribute to our breeding program and also for egg production. It is really a lot of work and God willing we will be able to complete it all this year. Guess it will be slower this time round as we also have to juggle with the existing work and the delivery of chickens to our customers. Hopefully we’ll be able to have consistent orders for the chickens.
Spent my day tending to my dogs, after neglecting them for a week, I must say they welcome the attention, bathe them, applied tick medication on them. Yes! The change from wet and cold weather to hot and dry always brings the return of the pesky critters. It is annoying to the dogs and to us as well. The chickens too were very hungry and I had to feed them more, giving them more water to cope with the warm weather.
Durians are plentiful again and the Reno, Bassey, Mac, Kimi and Reggie got some for desert after their dinner. The grass around the land is dense once again and I hope to do some cutting tomorrow, am seriously considering the option of getting two ‘kambing’ to help with the grass. Guess it is only possible after I build a barn to house them… Think I’ll go ahead and work on it as cutting with the brush cutter is really a waste of time, energy and resources.
