Progress, a step at a time!

Hi All! Am in town today on some errands. The stainless kitchen stuff was delivered to us yesterday morning, it was tough work off loading the freezer, chiller and furniture from the truck and carrying them into the small processing building. Nevertheless we managed to do it. The equipment we bought weren't cheap but since we are in this for long term, we decided against buying the cheap stuff that will corrode and rust. Would be giving the facility a good wash this coming week to prepare the place for the actual processing which will take place one week before Chinese New Year.
We had some orders coming but it is quite slow as people have the perception that the chickens are pricey. We don't blame them but we will try to educate them on this. For starters, the chickens available in the market from the poultry farms takes between 28-45days to get to the market while ours are totally 'natural' taking at least 3-4months. Further, ours are free range meaning they are not confine to just eat all the time but allowed to move, exercise, roaming and forage for insects and vegetation. In short you got to taste it to tell the difference. Sad but people do not think twice about spending a lot on fast food and hawkers but are apprehensive about getting good quality stuff for their family. Anyway, in time we do hope and pray that the difference of Our Little farms products will become evident. Take Care all and God Bless!
