My mind is pretty blank today, accompanied my wife to the city this morning, she would be working while I get to sit around.. at least till tomorrow morning when I have to collect our new batch of 2 day old chicks and bring them back with me to the farm. We are getting consistent orders so far on a weekly basis so we need to have consistent new arrivals at least till our breeding program takes off. Can't say it is fantastic but it is a start and I believe God will honour His promises to us as we place our trust in Him.
Sometimes life is like that, we find ourselves lock in a position where we perceive ourselves as without a choice but to let the tide move us deeper into the unknown. Whether in our work place or in our family, the point I want to stress is this, God gave us a choice, we may find it hard to break away from conventional thought and dictates of our family members but if we so wish, we can do it. Make a radical choice and discover that the whole world think and says that you are foolish. Yes! In the eyes of the world you may seem the dumbest creature to ever walk this planet. Kind of reminds me of someone who chose to be nailed to the cross for the sins of so many whom he does not know.
I am not asking that you sacrifice yourself but won't you at least consider the possibilities that exist out there, that would allow you a more fulfilling life instead of being confined to the small cubicle you built for yourself, where you have to endure all of which you hardly enjoy doing. I may be speaking greek but to those who find truth in what I write about then it is rhema to you. My observation above is motivated in part of the many funerals I witness, the passing away of so many, an inevitable end to all of us. With so little time left in this less than perfect world don't you think we should allow ourselves the benefit of thinking out of the box and consider a more challenging life in Christ? Or should we continue to sit week in, week out listening to sermons which we have heard over and over again, lifting up unholy hands to the Lord, speaking in the 'old' tongues, like stale old wine, lives hardly inspiring let alone projecting the abundant life as promised to those that abide in Christ Jesus our Saviour?
I admonish all to arise, stand and be counted, you are the only Christ that many will ever see. Arise and shine, behold the fields are ripe for harvest. I am encouraging all to seek for a new purpose and reason for your existence here on this earth. You may not have much time left. I suggest that we start with a list of 50 items which we want to do, see, experienced before we return to the dirt from which we were formed...
First thing on my list for tomorrow, I want to jump into the pond with my Gordon!
