Pressing on.

Super hot weather prevented us from completing our three small barns. We could only work a few hours a day, till about 1pm before it gets too hot, He! Even our straw hats are no match for the super sun. The sun doesn’t set till about 7pm so even at 5:30pm it remains hot, the rubber trees are beginning to shed their leaves and soon the hills will be bare again, our very own version of autumn, only winter is missing and summer returns immediately. Back to the barns, we erected three and have ordered materials to come in tomorrow morning for another three. We are trying to get them up asap as the first batch of chickens are in need of a new home, where they will nest and reproduce, we hope to get our very own chicks and well, our eggs supply too. The path to self sufficiency is a long way off but with many small steps we will get there eventually.
There is just so much to do in a typical day and with such hot weather everything seems to move at snail pace, sigh!
Thank God the nights are cool and refreshing. The trees are in need of water and our irrigation system isn’t done yet, another important task that is outstanding. I will press on…
