Good morning. It's 7am now, I am normally up before the sun is up, a habit these days to be up before seven. The Goldens would not allow me to sleep in, they would whine and make a lot of 'calls' for me to let them out to answer their morning calls. With the home coming of Olive, we now have a total of 12 dogs, soon it will be 14 strong as two more is also coming back. Not a nice thing to share with you as to the reasons here as this would inevitably involve talking about character flaws and value systems of some individual on a public blog. I believe in sowing good seeds, the less bad things of people that comes out of our mouths the better. Anyway, I am looking forward to the home coming of the other two goldens, I am sure Daisy would be extremely pleased to see her offspring again. It is my responsibility to ensure dogs that leaves our kennel are well taken care of and not abused, so once these two beautiful dogs are back in good shape I will get them good homes. It would mean more work but I don't think more work would kill anybody, in fact physical inactivity will eventually kill a lot of us.
My trusted notebook decided to fail on me last week resulting in the loss of some of my data. The hard disk decided to take a break and I had to send it in since it was still under warranty. Hopefully I can get back soon as I am currently unable to access my mails, blog and pretty much do nothing on the net without it. Somehow the 3 year warranty doesn't seem so long afterall as I only have another 6 months to go. Had also lost some entries I wrote which I had meant to post when I get to the city. sigh! Guess that's life, a deal but really no big deal.
Farm.. Yes! All is well here at the farm, lots of work all the time and not enough time to do them all, before you complete one task, a few more is already stacked up awaiting. Which is a good thing as an idle mind is a fertile ground for the devil. The processing of chickens should be completed in two weeks time and we would have delicious good quality birds for our supporters till after Chinese New Year. We are experiencing losses from the visits of eagles and so far quite a few of our birds had been taken. Our contribution to conservation of 'wildlife'? These are quite substantial losses and we are at wits end on how to solve the problem. Free ranging is a costly way to raise chickens but I think we will stick with it and do our part to provide better food for our friends and families.
Christmas is just round the corner and I wonder how many of us remember Jesus. I observed lots of shopping and partying in celebration of his birthday. He is surely missing our presence and company. Take care all and press on...
