When all is said & done, each of us will leave only 4 things behind!

Yep! Only four according to Paul L. Meyer in his book "Unlocking Your Legacy". Am quite sure you are interested to know.. here goes:
1. Memories - thoughts that others have of us
2. Souvenirs - proof of our existence
3. Trophies - records of our achievements
4. Legacies - everything you are and possess today

Bought this book from the payless bookstore at the Atria during deepavali. needless to say it is a secondhand book. Can't afford the high priced new books lately.. prefer to browse through old stuff that someone no longer wants or have a need for. Maybe the new PM would do something about reducing the prices of books and other printed materials, newspapers could be priced higher though... that would go a long way to improve the whole lot of us, not to mention improving our english. No point controlling the price of sugar and mutton! Too much of sugar and mutton would lead to health problems anyway... Ministry of Trade.. where are you? How can we have a reading society when a small little short book cost more that a games CD? 6-8 times more. Of course I am talking about the numerous pirated stuff you can buy from Imbi Plaza, Pasar Malam and just about every shopping complexes.. especially those half-dead ones. sigh! Operasi this and operasi that, sounds like a case of a lousy surgeon operating again and again and yet refuse to remove the tumour from his patient.. bad analogy huh? well, I am pretty tired at this charade so bear with me. It is simply ridiculous when you have officers raiding a place for pirated dvds and yet turning a blind eye to the immense amount of pirated software located right next to the dvds. Come on, come on! Is there a WILL to stop the filth, junk and pirate activities or is it just another case of bad wayang? BTW, the dvds are back for sale..

As I was saying Paul J. Meyer has got good points in his book, I would encourage you to grab a copy from Amazon, last time I checked, you could get a new copy for less than what I got it for. FYI, I bought it for RM30 with a 10% discount given as I bought quite a few books along with my sweet wife.

Paul says..

"Eventually, memories will fade and souvenirs and trophies will be lost, stolen, or sold at garage sales, Only your legacy will remain. Admitedly. preparing a good legacy will take time and money, but don't let that stop you!"

Will be reading this book and hopefully I can learn from this man. The weeks ahead would be interesting as our PM for so many years is leaving office. It is sad that his failures outweighs his successes, am quite sure he started off with noble intentions but somehow got too... hey! any SB members reading my blog? I'm scared!!! point made!

Happy retirement, DR. M! Still not too late to read PJM's Unlocking Your Legacy... Oh! I think it made more sense that the new PM reads it!
