Received some bread from the Lord today and would like to share it. Hope you get satisfaction from chewing on it.
You are far away, hear what I have done; you who are near, acknowledge my power!
The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless:
"Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with the everlasting burning?"
He who walks righteously and speaks what is right,
who rejects gain from extortion and keeps his hand from accepting bribes,
who stops his ear against plots of murder
and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil - this is the man who will dwell on the heights,
whose refuge will be the mountain fortress.
His bread will be supplied,
and water will not fail him.
Isaiah 33:13-16
The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high;
he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness.
He will be the sure foundation for your times,
a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge;
the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.
Isaiah 33:5-6
Church service this morning reflected how occupied we all are with our daily lives so much so that during the one day of the week when we gather to worship together, to remind one another of his return, we are caught playing games, presenting mediocre services to the living God. Religious freedom for Christians is churning out sub-standard followers. Guess it is alright for now, afterall we will go through refining fire soon. Hope that there is something left of me after that... Take care and May God wake us from our slumber!
