This week had been a sweet and sour week. Let me explain, firstly we had the bad news of three man wielding parangs rushing into my sis’ house in the wee hours of the morning and robbing the family, a scary experience for them. Thank God only earthly valuables are taken, no one was harmed except for threatening words. Seriously what is the world becoming here in Bolehland where we can’t even be safe in our own homes. The worst thing to follow is being subjected to bad treatment at the police station when they made their reports, cops who are insensitive and without tack. Well, guess it is just another statistic in their books. However, I give thanks that everyone is safe!
No rain for many days, at least 8 durian seedlings dried up even with me watering them. Praise the Lord! Mr. Rain came visiting this afternoon. The apostle came with his mate yesterday and spent a night in our home. Good company and we had a good time fellowshipping. My wife has been cooking great tasting meals since we moved here. Praise God!
Didn’t do much this week, spent time unpacking the last of the cartons and once we get some book shelves, the last of the stuff on the floor would be in the right place. Managed to wash and set up my aquarium this week, went out to the local fish shop to discover that a single neon tetra cost RM1. Horrors! So, the aquarium is empty for now, will get my supplies when I visit KL. On the other had, the fishes in the pond are doing alright, stock in another 100 patins, 100 baungs and 200 black tilapias. Hopefully they will grow and not be a meal for the many haruans in the pond. I feed the fishes twice a day and nothing can describe the feeling of seeing these fishes feeding and growing.
Guess I won’t be doing anything new for now, at least not till the irrigation system is up. Once the irrigation system is in place, I intend to finish up on the planting of trees and shrubs, flowers to line the road and grass to cover the ground. Thereafter I hope to start doing landscaping and setting up our personal vegetable plot. The chickens would have to wait till the prophet move in.
Furry is back to normal, the dogs outside are getting the last of the durians, the season should be over in less than a week and there’ll be no more durians for them to feed on. Hopefully they will lose some weight after that. God Bless Us All! Keep us in His will and kingdom!
