Spent most of my time since my last blog picking up rubbish left behind by my contractor. Despite of repeated reminders not to throw rubbish/debris all over the place, they insist on dumping stuff all over the 8 acres of land. This is proving to be a daunting task as I had to pick up all sort of rubbish from the land before I could get down to doing something productive. Anyway it is a form of exercise for me and helps me to be discipline and consistent, building my character... somedays I feel tired and frustrated but I have learnt since to pause and look at the prettier sights around me whenever I feel such. Taking more time then I expected but I guess God intends me to go slow, slow down and move with Him, talk to Him and not fret too much.
This last week found me struggling with the issue of using weedkiller/herbicide. After much deliberation I have decided not to proceed with the use of poison. I don't relish the thought of poisoning the very land I am going to walk on. So, let the weeds come.. if they are really unbearable I'll spent time pulling them out instead of resorting to the easy, fast way of spraying killing chemicals wantonly all over the place. So if you find my land full of unsightly weeds, please bear with me and appreciate the fact that you are threading on 'safe' ground. I am expecting the irrigation system to be up in a month or two, then I will start some small scale vegetable planting for our own consumption. Chicken farming will commence once the prophet joins me. Intend to rear some ducks too since I have a large pond... Take care you guys! God Bless! He is good to all if we allow him to!
