Thanks for coming!

Woke up to a rather quiet house this morning. Prepared meals for my dogs and went about my chores before making my way to the chicken barn to tend to the chicks. The chicks has been here for more than a week and most are doing well despite of the fact that some weak ones are dying. Since this is our first batch, we are still fine tuning the environment and hopefully we can minimise these losses.
Anyway, we played host to mum, eldest sis and her grasshopper, yee jeh, her husband and kids, A, Nick and MY the last 6 days. They were here from last Friday and Saturday and left yesterday. The first time they spent 5 nights here, the longest ever and we enjoyed their company. We spent a lot of time together, did a lot and ate a lot as well. I enjoyed the time and activities we had together. Altogether, it is a nice refreshing change for us to have people here apart from just our dogs. This morning was especially quiet as there were no sounds of children talking to Gordon and Daisy. The dogs had a great time with the visitors, enjoying all the attention and love showered upon them. I must say I miss them, thankfully my dear wife is here.. at least till Sunday. Once she leaves for the city on Monday I'll be all alone again in this larger than usual house tending to the farm.
Today is the second day of Hari Raya and we would most probably be visiting our neighbours later in the day. We had a cool night and this morning was slightly chilly, rainy season is here again and we will continue to enjoy the cool days and nights till CNY. we'll continue to persevere on as we put in effort to establish this farm. Meantime we look forward to good times, good company again. Allow me to express my gratitude to Sis and BILC for taking time and trouble to bring their children here and allowing us to spend time with them. God Bless and keep all safe!
